We love to shoot bears! ;)

Click, click, click goes our camera as we roll down our window and hold our breath during yet another close encounter along the roadside! It's exhilarating to be able to get such great shots at such close range, while in the safety of our car! We truly feel blessed!
We broke off the AlCan Hwy to head directly south on the Casssiar Hwy which is known for lots of black bear sightings. We saw 12!! One of them was a brown black bear (some of them are genetically black bears, not grizzlies, but they are brown in color), but we didn't catch a photo of him. This shows you a perspective taken from inside the front seat to show you how close they were (without zoom lens):
Some of the bears were more skiddish and dashed off into the woods or brush as soon as they saw our car. Others of them were completely undaunted by our presence and just kept grazing.
This yearling (judging by his size) was TOO comfortable with our presence and actually approached the car twice:
He even got up on his hind legs to beg! Unfortunately someone in a car must've fed him which means he most likely will end up dead :(  Either he'll accidentally get hit by a car from hanging out on the road all the time or he'll get shot from going near humans at a campsite or residential area in search of human food. "A Fed Bear is a Dead Bear". Of course, Jonas wanted to pet him because he was soo cute!!
