We got to see a handful of friends at the tail-end of our trip who we hadn't caught at the beginning:
Joey's former school secretary who led a staff Bible Study out of their home. A dear Christian couple!
An awesome teacher couple who we used to snowboard with and who love traveling as much as we do!! (Luckily they made it home from their summer trip just in time to see us).
One of Anissa's Deaf T.A.'s and other staff from the Alaska State School for the Deaf that she unfortunately didn't get pictures of :{
It was soo sad saying goodbye to sweet Madeline (also one of Anissa's former TA's) who's house had been our "home base" when we were in Anchorage. She actually hosted 3 different BBQs for former Deaf Ed staff to come visit Anissa. What a blessing she was to our family!!! She is a big crafter, so Alea arm knitted her an infinity scarf as a thank you. Both kids just adore her!
We also checked on our condo and met our current tenant. We had a really nice dinner with our condo manager (who used to teach with Joey and is now a principal)--great friends who enable us to be long distant landlords. No pic :(
