The Canadian Rockies Rock!!!!

Okay, so we admit we used to be "Alaska snobs", thinking it was the most beautiful place on North America, telling everyone they have to go there before they die (which we still think you should), BUT now we are completely smitten with the Canadian Rockies!!! They definitely give Alaska a run for its money. So if you never make it as far north as Alaska, please be sure to at least make it as far NW as the Canadian National Parks. The drive between Jasper, Lake Loiuse & Banff is a MUST-SEE for your bucket list! They are certainly a lot more accessible (easier/closer to get to) than Alaska and there is soo much to see condensed in such a short distance/space whereas Alaska is so spread out. Don't get us wrong, Alaska will always have a special place in our heart (for much more than just geographical reasons & it's natural beauty), but you can sure get a lot more "bang for your buck" in the Canadian Rockies! All of what we saw in 3 days would've taken us 2 weeks to see in Alaska. Please see the other 2 posts "Icefields Parkway" and "Columbia Ice Field" for the glacier photos as well as the other lake & waterfall & wildlife posts, but here is an overview of some of the general sights we saw along the drive:
Mount Robson is the highest point in the CA Rockies.
Green lakes at every turn:
The forest fires created a mysterical, hazy smog over the mountains some mornings:
