Camping with Cousins!

This has definitely been the summer of cousins! Anissa got to see a big majority (10/19) of her Buerge cousins (some that she hadn't seen in decades), Jonas & Alea got to meet and bond with a bunch of their 2nd cousins, there were even a few 3rd cousins (or once/twice removed...however that works!) thrown in the mix!  Now the last visit of the trip was camping for 3 days with Jonas & Alea's 1st cousins...what they'd been looking forward to all summer!
We camped right on the Columbia River near Wenatchee, Washington where it was 100 degrees! The first REAL heat we've felt all summer! Thank goodness for the freezing cold river!!
Can you see how the State Park got its name?? (Hint: look for President Lincoln's profile):
The 4 cousins had SOOO much fun together!!!
Hanging out on the pier:
Jumping off the pier:
...over & over....
...again & again...
...and again...
....and again!
Swinging out over the water on the tree swing:
Jumping off the swing into the water:
Some of us even jumped off the post of the pier:
Joey was the only one to dive off:
Building a fort in the willow tree:
Running through the sprinklers:
Geocaching (yes they had one in the state park!):
Walking to the camp store for shaved ice & candy:
Breakfast of champions (blueberry pancakes & root beer):
We also had watermelon for breakfast one morning because the kids couldn't wait to cut into it:
The kids came up from the River just long enough to eat meals then run back:
The kids used paper cups to catch little three-spine stickleback fish and Zach became an euntrapreuner and sold some for a quarter each! He made 50c ;)
We also played parents vs kids frisbee football, played at the playground, hide-n-seek, goofed around, etc.
The 2 dads chilling by the River and taking in the beautiful view:
