Wyoming & South Dakota provided an abundance of prairie dogs!
These 2 were wrestling:
Just outside of Badlands NP, we pulled over to take a photo of this:
...and noticed a prairie dog village full of VERY friendly prairie dogs (who were used to being fed peanuts that you can purchase from the local vendor). Our kids LOVED the experience of being able to interact with these cute little guys and we didn't even spend a penny (they just picked up scraps off the ground)!
This one was overly tame:
