Mtn Goat: Close Encounter

One of the animals we were soo bummed. Have not seen in Alaska was a mountain goat. Lo & behold we turned a corner on the Needles Hwy in the Black Hills and there was a mamma & baby crossing right in front of us!!! THANKS GOD! Such a huge treat!!!

Of course the baby stole our attention! Soooo cute!! 

Jonas, our animal whisperer, sat patiently forever, waiting for the baby to come to him. (The only time he demonstrates this level of patience is with animals). We kept telling him it's a wild animal and there's no way it will come to him! 

Persistence pays off! What a treat!!!!!
