A true Alaskan experience!
Salmonberries & blueberries abound in Seldovia! They line all the roads & our friend's lane surrounding her home.
Joey & Jonas couldn't get enough of the salmonberries! Everytime one of them were "missing" from the house, we knew they were out grabbing a handful of berries for a snack!
Jonas said they tasted like Sweet Tarts candy (sweet n sour combo). Alea preferred the blueberries (just look at her bowl ;)
We went on a walk farther from her house through really thick brush and took bear spray with us just to be safe.
Salmonberry/blueberry smoothies and quiche (with homemade crust) for supper....yummmm!!!
