Santa Elana Canyon Hike
One of those hikes you have to do no matter how hot it is! And trust me, it was HOT! This is the mouth of the canyon that the Rio Grand carved out. The trail only takes you 3/4 of a mile in before the river runs right against the canyon wall and you're forced to turn back. It was amazing!!! There was a guy in front of us who had hiked it many times and was all excited that it was our first time and he kept stopping us to take our family picture, so we have an unusually high # of photos with all 4 of us. Leave it to Jonas to find a baby duck in the mud!
