Phoenix Fun!

If you're following us on the map, you'll see we took a little detour to visit one of Anissa's best friends from college, Kim & her husband Cory. It was soo great to finally meet their 5 yr old daughter Lily! The kids had fun swimming together, playing in the back yard, playing restaurant, Frogger, etc and Anissa had such a special time connecting with Kim! We really enjoyed talking with Cory and getting to know him better, too. They have a very sweet family! Joey & the kids went to "Jump Street" for 2 hrs while Lily was in half-day kindergarten, and were all 3 sore the next day from doing flips on giant wall-to-wall trampolines, foam pit, and riding a mechanical bull! They said it was such a blast it was worth the pain ;) Our bodies got some much-needed healthy (& delicious) food and Joey & Anissa got to sleep w/o the kids for the 2nd time this whole summer! It was a great visit! I know we say this every time, but people are more impt than national parks, and visiting friends has been the best part of our travels! We love swapping recipes, parenting tips, sharing ideas but most importantly, sharing from the heart!
