Guadalupe Mountains Nat Park

This NP is right next to Carlsbad Caverns (but across the boarder from New Mexico in Texas). It is the highest and coolest (temperature-wise) point in TX. We were actually able to camp very comfortably in the park and even needed a fleece blanket half way thru the night! It was actually refreshing to sleep in the tent again after 8 nights. We enjoyed a marvelous display of the Milky Way and zillions of constellations in the expansive sky. The campground was soo dark (because it was so remote) and soo beautiful! I know I'm on a Psalms kick lately, but "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork!" Ps. 19:1
