June 10th: 17 years of marital blessing!

Notice we didn't say "bliss"? We're just like any other couple in that we don't have a perfect marriage, but because of God's goodness and grace it has been full of blessings!!! Our anniversary is a perfect day to be heading out on our 10 week road trip!

Anissa says: I'm soo happy to be spending the next 10 weeks with the man of my dreams! It is such a blessing to have a husband who is in love with God more than he is with me! That is the reason why we have such a great marriage...God is first! Joey strives to love me the way Christ loves me, serving God by serving me! There's nothing more attractive than a man who is humble and broken before the Lord! The first time I heard him singing a solo at church (in college) and he started crying beauz he was touched by the Spirit, I knew that was the man I wanted to marry! I've always said "real men aren't afraid to cry in public!" ;)

Joey says: A joy filled marriage without God being first is impossible. God must be loved above all. The more I place God first, the more fully and completely I love my wife. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife that I plan on spending the rest of my life with. "Until death do us part." I just pray that I love her as Christ loves me. I have enjoyed each and every adventure that I have taken with my wife over the past 17 years, but the greatest adventure has been pursuing Christ together. :)
