The Mountain Mermaid

That is the name of Anissa's dad's cousin's historical home in Topanga Canyon (between Malibou & Santa Monica). It is a gorgeous home used for weddings, photo shoots & magazine interviews for "lifestyles of the rich and famous". Alea counted over 40 mermaids around the house (everything from nightlights, fountains, dishes, candle sconces, paintings, statues, you name it)! All of his rooms are being redone right now, so we slept on our air mattresses in the great room in front of a HUGE fireplace (the photo doesn't show the proportions) with a cozy fire crackling as we drifted off to sleep...delux camping! We spent some time in the pool this morning before Bill took us out to breakfast. A great stop on our way out of LA!
