Golden Gate Bridge
The highlight of our day here in sunny San Francisco! We were praising God for blue skies & no fog!!! Walking on the bridge was something we'd never done when we were here before as a couple, so it was really special to do it with our kids! We didn't know this year was the bridge's 75th anniversary! Anissa had to buy one of the commemorative T-shirts in the bridge's signature color 'International Orange'. In May they built a whole new Bridge Plaza with a Nat Park visitor center, a cafe, a gift shop where you can buy almost anything you could imagine in International Orange (including commemorative cans of paint and limited addition retro bicycles for $800!!!) The neatest thing was the outdoor hands-on museum that was really informative about the history of and construction of the bridge. We also visited the Nat Historical Site, Fort Point & Lighthouse, under the bridge for a cool vantage point. Over all a very memorable day on such a monumental landmark!
